First Sunday Visit
Welcome to CrossPointe Church
Checking things out? Welcome! We realize that engaging a new church can be a very intimidating thing. Even the most confident of people can easily become insecure when it comes to visiting a new church. At CrossPointe Downtown, we want to help alleviate some of that potential uneasiness. Even though we can't answer every question here, the following is intended to give you a sense of what you can expect when attending our Sunday Gathering.
We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:00am, and we encourage you to come as you are. It is our hope that you will find an environment that is welcoming and authentic. We spend about an hour and fifteen minutes together, as we worship God through singing, biblical teaching, and participation in weekly communion.
What about kids?
Believing that children are a gift from God, CrossPointe is a family-friendly church. If you have kids from infants-3rd grade, you will be directed to the kids area of our church on Sunday morning. A group of qualified children's ministry leaders* will check in, care for, and teach your kids while you participate in the service.
*Please know that all of our kids helpers and teachers have undergone a thorough background screening process.
What if you're not used to attending a church service?
Most all of us have been there. It's our hope and prayer that, as you engage in our Sunday Gathering, you'll experience relational connectedness, as you explore the truth claims of Christianity with us. Questions are encouraged. We work hard to create an environment that welcomes the doubter, the disillusioned, and the disconnected. We are not a group of people who have everything together, but we have found hope in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
What happens outside of our Sunday Gatherings?
We believe whole-heartedly that the church is more than what happens on a Sunday. That is why we want to help get you connected. You can do so by volunteering, joining a community group, or becoming a partner of CrossPointe Church.
